Hi! I’m Ryce (pronounced Reese). I’m a pharmacist who has a love for all things creative. I started this little section of the internet to showcase some of my talents and allow my imagination to thrive. Let’s just say that while I have done a ton of artistic things over the past 5 years, not much made it here *shoulder shrug*.
Initially, I thought it would be fun to showcase my creativity when it came to professional fashion, organizing and home decor (which I still do). It’s just as you live a little more, you realize that you have more to offer. So, I’ve recently decided that I owe it to the young person thats a few step behind me on their journey to share some of the high, lows and in-betweens. I hope to encourage others to live their best lives understanding that disappointments are not destinations and budgets are parameters… not restrictions.
Ryce’s Pieces is a place for people to discover the prescription for (real) lifestyle on a budget. Just because we have financial goals doesn’t mean we stop building a life we love. We just have to get more resourceful about it.
Some FUN facts about me:
- I am an Ohio-bamian girl who resides in Texas.
- I have been married for 10 years to my dream guy and we go to a baseball game every year for our anniversary (we try to go to a new stadium every time except 2020 … IYKYK).
- I have a goal of visiting all 50 states (34/50 so far!). There’s some really cool stuff in the United States.
- Reading > TV.
- I have several plants (indoors and outside) and I love them all.
- I follow a lot of Rottweiler Instagram accounts… A. LOT.
- I have a degree in biochemistry (Talk NERDY to me) from Auburn University.
- It only makes sense that I love the Auburn Tiger Football! #WarEagle (Full Disclosure: when I feel like they may stress me out, I don’t watch.)
- I am a proud HBCU graduate! I earned my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the real TSU … Texas Southern University! Go Tigers!
- Keeping with the tiger theme, I am a Cincinnati Bengals fan. Yes, I was a fan when they lost frequently. No, I’m not holding my breath for a Super Bowl repeat.
- I keep a prayer journal, scripture journal and a notebook for sermon notes. It’s amazing what God has done in my short time on Earth. (Disclaimer: while I will pray for you, “try Jesus. Don’t try me.”)
- I also keep a journal of random life events and one focused on the fruits of the spirit (you can see the prompts here).
- People really do call me “Ryceecup”, “Ryce’s Pieces” and “Ryce”. I approve of all of these.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to get in touch via Instagram!
